Hey, Rachel here! I’m a personal trainer with a passion for helping women find an exercise routine that is simple, sustainable, and successful.

I am drawn to this work because I know that finding time to exercise (especially as a mom) is HARD. It often falls the last on the list, until there is an urgent reason to start prioritizing it.

My goal is to guide women and moms through a program that gets them stronger while embodying values of balance, moderation, and confidence. Each exercise plan is programmed so you can realistically achieve your goals, while still being fully present in other aspects of your life.

My training specialty is in prenatal and postpartum fitness. I use corrective exercises blended with functional strength training to help moms feel strong during their pregnancy and postpartum. Although I specialize in perinatal fitness, I am passionate about working with women in any stage of life!

Outside of training sessions you’ll find me walking my husky (Mosley), enjoying a quiet cup of coffee early in the morning, and re-reading the Harry Potter series.

My Education:

After graduating from a small high school in Rhode Island, I pursued further education at Springfield College in Massachusetts. Throughout college, I worked as a group exercise instructor and also became certified as a personal trainer.

After graduating with my Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Exercise Science in 2017, I moved up to Maine for my previously full-time position as a certified cardiac rehab specialist at Maine Medical Center. I launched Mamabear Fitness in the winter of 2020, and I haven’t looked back since!
